Celtic fans react on Twitter to Scott Sinclair performance v Inverness

By Dominic Toner

Scott Sinclair scored his fifth league goal against Inverness on Sunday and the Celtic supporters were full of praise for the player on Twitter.

Celtic dropped their first points of the season in the Scottish Premiership with a 2-2 draw away at Inverness.

Sinclair, 27, gave the visitors a 2-1 lead in the 34th minute when he curled the ball into the bottom corner past the goalkeeper.

The attacker picked up the ball in his own half and drove forward into space, before finishing calmly on the edge of the 18-yard box.

However Alex Fisher scored a late equaliser in the 89th minute to make Inverness the first side to take anything from Celtic this season.

Tom Rogic had opened the scoring for the visitors and Billy Kee had levelled the match for Inverness in an entertaining first-half.

Sinclair has now netted five times in his first five Celtic league matches and continued his phenomenal goal scoring record.

He also grabbed a goal in the League Cup match against Motherwell and has made a perfect transition to Scottish football since his move from Aston Villa in the summer.

The club’s supporters took to Twitter to post their support for their new hero.

Celtic were keen to bounce back from their crushing 7-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League mid-week and dropped their first points of the season.

The reigning league champions still hold a three point cushion over Hearts and have a game in hand.
