Leigh Griffiths has confirmed that he will be good to go when Celtic return to Scottish Premiership action with a trip to Hamilton on Friday.
The Hoops forward limped off the field in the 70th minute of of Scotland’s 2-0 win over Malta in a 2018 World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park on Monday night.
There were concerns that Griffiths, 27, would miss the upcoming clash with Hamilton after being recently troubled by a calf injury while Moussa Dembele is still expected to sit on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
Odsonne Edouard was brought in on transfer deadline day to add an extra layer of cover to Brendan Rodgers’ striking options, but the Paris Saint-Germain loanee may not be required after Griffiths delivered an encouraging update about his injury.
“Yeah. I will be fine. I will be fine for Friday. I will go in tomorrow and see what the manager wants to do. If he wants to rest me for Friday then I will be ready for Tuesday,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“It’s going great for me.”
Griffiths has been in top form for Celtic in recent weeks and it would no doubt be a big blow if the Glaswegians had to make do without him for their upcoming games.
He has scored five goals and supplied five assists in nine appearances across all competitions so far this term, while his form for Scotland has also drastically improved this year.
The 15-times international netted twice in the 2-2 draw with England in June and added to that tally against Malta on Monday night to get his third goal for the Tartan Army.
In other Celtic news, Scotland fans destroyed this Hoops player for his display in the win over Malta.
