Former Celtic attacker Kris Commons has slammed the Rangers defence after they beat Hamilton 5-3 at the SuperSeal Stadium on Sunday
It was a thrilling eight-goal game in the Scottish Premiership as the Light Blues moved up to second in the table.
However Sky Sports pundit Commons had one major criticism after the final whistle and that is how many goals that the Gers have conceded against Hamilton under the charge of Graeme Murty.
Greg Docherty fluffed a clearance in the opening minutes to allow Darren Lyon to score, and although the Gers regained control almost instantly, Russell Martin was also responsible for a poor clearance leading to David Templeton’s goal and have away a late penalty with a handball.
Commons believes that supporters of the club will be worried about the problems at the back.
“One thing Graeme Murty will not be happy with is that he has played Hamilton twice now and they’ve conceded five goals,” said Commons during Sky Sports Football’s post match coverage of the Scottish Premiership fixture on Sunday afternoon.
“I think that is a real big worry for any Rangers fan watching, defensively they’ve got to be better.”
It’s not very often that teams go away from home, concede three goals and still walk away with a victory.
Josh Windass kept up his terrific form with a hat-trick to cap off a top week in which he signed a new contract at Ibrox.
Alfredo Morelos and Jamie Murphy were also on the scoresheet for a rampant Gers side that have scored 11 goals in their last two outings.
Next up for Murty and his men is a home tie against Hearts at Ibrox next Saturday.
In other Rangers news, Dean Windass delivered an instant Twitter verdict to his son’s performance against Accies.
