Celtic set for ‘big money’ Liel Abada offer amid ‘incredible’ claim – McManus
“Big clubs” are looking to sign Celtic star Liel Abada following his impressive start to the season.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 21-year-old’s form.
Abada scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season as Celtic beat Motherwell 4-0 in the Scottish League Cup on Wednesday (19 October).
On 27 September, sources told this site that the Parkhead club believe Abada will be worth £15million-plus next year.
McManus claims “big clubs” are now watching the winger after impressing during his first season with the club.
“The standout for me has been Abada, I mean, his numbers are outstanding,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“When you look at his numbers for a 21-year-old, there is a real opportunity for him to go anywhere he wants.
“His nose for goal is incredible. I do think he can improve his general play, he is a wee bit clumsy at times but he got 15 goals or something like that last season.
“If you can get 10 or 15 goals as a wide man, as a winger, every season then there are going to be big clubs looking at you.
“He is someone who Celtic could get big money for in the next couple of years”

Abada joined the Celts from Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikvah for around £3.5million.
The Hoops are next in action against Motherwell on 1 October.
