Roberts delivers Twitter verdict on Celtic return v Hamilton
By James Black
Patrick Roberts has expressed his delight at making his second debut for Celtic after completing his return on loan from Manchester City.
The 20-year-old was in sensational form as the Hoops returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership table on Friday night with a 4-1 hammering of Hamilton at the SuperSeal Stadium.
Roberts took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday to say that it “feels good to be back” alongside a picture of him with team-mate and good friend Kieran Tierney.

Roberts spent 18 months on loan at Parkead and played a massive part in last season’s treble-winning team before returning to City at the end of the campaign.
The Bhoys tried to re-sign him on a club-record deal worth £8million however City were unwilling to sell before reluctantly allowing him to head back to Glasgow on a season-long loan.

After putting in a man of the match performance on his return to Scottish football, Roberts now has his sights set on upsetting free-spending Paris Saint-Germain when the French champions visit Celtic Park in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Despite barely playing during pre-season for City, Roberts played most of the match against Hamilton, setting up fellow new Bhoy Odsonne Edouard’s first goal for the club and creating havoc down the right wing.
Towards the end of last season, Roberts decided to miss out on England’s successful Under-20 World Cup campaign to help Celtic to a Scottish Cup win and complete a historic domestic treble.
With Roberts now wearing Celtic’s iconic number 7 jersey, expectations will be higher than ever before for the winger who scored 17 times in 60 appearances in the hoops and creating another 22 for his team mates.
