Chelsea and Tottenham stars react as Tammy Abraham agrees transfer

Chelsea and Tottenham stars joined plenty across the Premier League with their reactions as Tammy Abraham finally confirmed his next move.

The former Chelsea striker spent last season on loan at AC Milan from Roma, scoring 10 goals across 45 appearances in all competitions.

With his future at Roma uncertain, Abraham had been heavily linked with a return to England this summer.

West Ham were among the clubs showing strong interest in Abraham, as they looked to bolster their attack following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure.

There was also interest from Everton, with Abraham seen as an ideal replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has left David Moyes’ side.

Despite the constant speculation surrounding a Premier League comeback, Abraham’s future has now been confirmed.

Tammy Abraham completes move to Besiktas

It appears Abraham has chosen Turkey as the destination for the next chapter of his career, after Besiktas officially unveiled the striker with a video captioned: “Let the game begin”.

The announcement sparked plenty of reactions, with former Chelsea academy teammate Trevoh Chalobah among those liking the post.

Jessie Lingard and Dominic Solanke also showed their support, while Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon commented: “This is cold”.

Abraham made the switch from Chelsea to Roma in 2021 following successful loan spells at Aston Villa and Swansea, but his career has struggled to fully take off in recent seasons.

He spent last season with AC Milan, featuring 45 times and contributing 10 goals along with seven assists.

However, after the club finished eighth in Serie A and Massimiliano Allegri returned as head coach, Milan opted not to pursue a permanent deal for the striker.

Chelsea face Trevoh Chalobah transfer decision

While Chalobah was active on social media following Abraham’s move, his own future at Stamford Bridge remains up in the air.

Football Insider revealed Chelsea are open to selling Chalobah this summer — but only if suitable defensive reinforcements are brought in.

The defender currently remains part of Enzo Maresca’s plans, though interest from Napoli could tempt Chalobah into following in Abraham’s footsteps with a Serie A switch.

Crystal Palace have also shown interest in re-signing Chalobah after his loan spell at Selhurst Park was cut short last season.

With Palace captain Marc Guehi widely expected to leave this summer, a move to bring Chalobah back to the club could materialise as they look to fill the defensive gap.
