Chelsea defender Kyle Jameson has arrived at Celtic for a trial with a view to making a loan move, according to a report.
STV claim that the 18-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Southport in January, still has a year remaining on his Stamford Bridge contract but could be looking to prove himself with game time at a big club.
The 6ft 3in centre half was ironically released by Everton at the age of 13 as he was considered too small, but Chelsea saw enough at Southport to offer him an 18-month contract.
Jameson arrived at Celtic on Sunday and will reportedly undergo a two-week trail before the Celtic hierarchy decide if he’s worth a loan.
Brendan Rodgers has had a fairly slow summer so far, with just two transfers confirmed – Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen and Kundai Benyu from Ipswich.
Rodgers enjoyed a fantastic season at Celtic last campaign, winning the Premiership title and both domestic cups in an unbeaten season.
In other Celtic transfer news, this 21-year-old PL midfielder has seemingly confirmed his move to Parkhead on social media.
