Chelsea: Enzo Fernandez wants to leave amid ‘unsettling environment’ at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea risk losing star players like midfielder Enzo Fernandez as the club’s project under BlueCo is turning sour.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, as speculation increases over Fernandez’s future at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old has recently aired comments criticising the club’s decision to sack former manager Enzo Maresca earlier in the season.
Fernandez said that Chelsea had “no plan, no identity, and no structure,” after their latest defeat at Everton, which has heaped pressure on manager Liam Rosenior to turn around results and performances.
Chelsea’s summer transfer plans hinge on Champions League qualification, and it looks increasingly likely that Fernandez will be leaving the club.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Chelsea’s ownership have done a “very poor job” of managing the club.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks Fernandez won’t be the only player eyeing up a departure in the summer.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Now, I think Enzo Fernandez is seeing the unsettling environment that Chelsea are in.
“And I think he’s feeling that he can no longer stay. It was an attractive project to come and join at the time, but it’s not turning out to be that way.
“And I think that the owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have really done a very poor job, if you look at it in real terms, given the resources they’ve had.
“And so it’s something that I think Enzo Fernandez, players like that, will now be looking at and thinking, hang on, I do want to move.”
Premier League duo interested in Josh Acheampong
Sources have told Football Insider that Chelsea will not be entertaining offers to let Josh Acheampong leave the club this summer.
The 19-year-old has appeared 12 times in the Premier League for the Blues this campaign, and could play a greater role in the first team next season.
Acheampong does want guarantees that his playing time will increase, with the likes of Newcastle and Crystal Palace interested in agreeing a deal to sign the defender.
