'A more flamboyant Cesc' - Chelsea fans blown away by Rangers academy product

Chelsea fans have lauded the performance of Rangers academy product Billy Gilmour after the youngster scored on his league debut for their Under-18s.

Gilmour started for the Blues’ highly rated age-group team against Arsenal and the former Ibrox youngster netted the second in a 2-0 win.

He subsequently tweeted: “Happy to make my league debut in a 2-0 win against Arsenal and to grab a goal.”

The 16-year-old joined the English Premier League champions in the summer after a tug of war between some of Europe’s top clubs.

The Scottish Sun also revealed last week how Gilmour had been snapped up by luxury clothing brand Burberyy for their latest fashion campaign.

But it was his football that did the talking on Saturday as he demonstrated the potential that has made him such a sought-after talent.

The Chelsea fans were clearly impressed by what they saw and raved about the Scot on social media, with one even comparing him to Cesc Fabregas.
