Chelsea goalkeepers Filip Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez are both facing fears of being sold this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Blues have Mike Penders returning from his loan spell with Strasbourg at the end of the season, and the Belgian’s switch is likely to result in one of the current options being sold ahead of next season.

The goalkeeper position has provided problems for the West Londoners throughout the campaign, and sources have indicated that Liam Rosenior does not want three players in the squad who would all see themselves as the number one option.

Jorgensen and Sanchez have both faced plenty of criticism this season, and their struggles could spell the end for one of them ahead of next term.

Chelsea’s transfer plans are already taking shape for further additions this summer, but it looks increasingly likely that some key sales will also follow.

Mike Penders to get chance to claim number one shirt

Football Insider revealed earlier this week that Penders will get a chance to take the number one shirt at Chelsea during their pre-season campaign, as his stock within the game continues to rise.

Rosenior is a big admirer of the 20-year-old, having worked with him earlier in the season at Strasbourg, and he is keen to ensure that he receives an opportunity to prove himself at Stamford Bridge ahead of next term.

The boss is lining up the former Genk man to become the Blues’ solution between the posts, and it looks set to spell trouble for Sanchez and Jorgensen.

The former has faced heavy criticism from supporters and pundits in recent seasons, while the latter was given the chance to impress away at PSG and made a significant error.

Rosenior is hoping to continue to stamp his image on the team as they prepare for next season, and that is likely to involve his own man taking over in goal.

Chelsea scheduled for Axel Disasi negotiations

Football Insider recently revealed that Chelsea are set for talks with West Ham United over the possibility of a permanent deal for centre-back Axel Disasi in the summer.

The Frenchman has been an outcast at Stamford Bridge in recent seasons, but he moved on loan to the London Stadium during the January transfer window, and has quickly made a big impression.

Nuno Espirito Santo and Co. are already keen to keep the 28-year-old beyond the end of his current deal, and they are planning to enter negotiations with his parent club in the coming weeks.

However, the Hammers are set to be dependent on retaining their Premier League status in order to have a chance of landing Disasi, while they will also require a cut-price deal.

Recent reports have suggested that Chelsea would likely demand a fee in the region of the £38million that they paid to sign Disasi back in 2023, but it is already clear that West Ham would not be able to do business at that price.
