Chelsea ready to sell ‘unhappy’ Raheem Sterling this summer – sources
Chelsea are willing to sell Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the player’s lucrative deal means he is one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridge.
But that deal means that no other Premier League club can match it, with clubs across Europe in the same position, meaning Sterling’s options will be limited.
The attacker’s deal at Stamford Bridge does not expire until the summer of 2027, but sources have told Football Insider that Chelsea will consider cutting his time at the club short in order to get him off their wage book and to bring in money from his sale.

He explained that the 29-year-old will consider his future this summer after a disappointing campaign in West London.
The attacker has often come under fire from Blues fans, and is believed to be “unhappy” at regularly sitting on the bench under Mauricio Pochettino.
O’Rourke told Football Insider that the winger wants regular first team football, and still feels he has more to offer at the highest level.
He added that the attacker now has no chance of making the England Euro 2024 squad, which was an unthinkable situation 18 months ago.
Sterling was once a regular in the Three Lions setup, with the 29-year-old boasting 82 caps for his country, having made his debut back in 2012.

Sources told Football Insider earlier this month that the Blues want to sign a marquee winger this summer amid new internal question marks over Sterling’s future in West London.
