Chelsea to accept Ziyech offer after Tottenham source’s reveal – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed Hakim Ziyech is one of a “number of players” to be “shipped out” of Chelsea this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa right-back insisted the Blues are in a “really difficult” position with their squad and will be forced into a lot of changes at the end of the season.

Ziyech’s current contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2025 but has fallen down the pecking order at the club this season.

The 30-year-old almost secured a deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain in the winter window before the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour due to problems with the paperwork.

On 7 April, Football Insider revealed that the French giants are set to rekindle their interest in the winger at the end of the 2022-23 campaign and have continued to stay in touch with the player.

There is also interest from Tottenham in the Chelsea star.

The Blues are said to be happy to part ways with the Morocco international if a club is willing to meet their £20-£30million valuation.

When asked if Ziyech will be keen to see out a move to PSG after the collapse in January, Hutton told Football Insider:I think he will be happy knowing that they are still there.

Chelsea right now are in a situation where they have spent an awful lot of money, they have got a bloated squad, they will have to get the numbers down for whoever the next manager will be.

Chelsea

Yes he will be happy that they are still there and he is one of the players that you would try and ship out.

It is just a really difficult moment in time for Chelsea, especially with the money that they have spent. There is a lot of pressure there but he is probably one of a number of players who will look to leave in the summer.
