Chelsea transfers: Giants eye Chukwuemeka after source’s reveal – report
Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka is subject to interest from Italian giants AC Milan after falling out of favour under Enzo Maresca.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Serie A club are set to reignite their interest in the 20-year-old after failing in an attempt to sign him on transfer deadline day.
Chukwuemeka has returned to first-team training under new manager Maresca after failing to secure a move throughout the summer.
The central midfielder had been a part of Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ alongside the likes of Ben Chillwell but has since been reintegrated.
Carney Chukwuemeka could swap Chelsea for AC Milan
Chukwuemeka has played a grand total of 616 minutes for Chelsea since making the £20million switch from Aston Villa back in 2020, scoring twice and providing one assist.
He didn’t even make the bench in Chelsea’s fortunate 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday, despite Enzo Fernandez being ruled out with an illness and Romeo Lavia through injury.

The England Under-21 international could join ex-Chelsea academy products Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham, and Fikayo Tomori at the Milan club.
It’s been a tricky start to life for new manager Paulo Fonseca in Milan, having won only one of their opening four Serie A games, a 4-0 thrashing of newly promoted Venezia on Saturday (September 14).
