BT Sports pundit Chris Sutton has named four Celtic and Rangers players in his Scottish Premiership team of the week.
The former Hoops forward unveiled the ever-intriguing list on his personal Twitter account on Monday, in a team which he claimed was “outstanding”.
The main takeaway is that it features three players who starred in Celtic’s 3-0 victory over Ross County, and one player who featured in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park.

The Hoops players that feature in the team are Stuart Armstrong, who was man of the match against the Dingwall side, Kristoffer Ajer and Callum McGregor, whilst the sole Gers member of the side is Jamie Murphy, whose equaliser earned the Gers a point at Fir Park.
Football Insider verdict
It’s hard to argue with any of the selections made by Sutton in his team this week. Armstrong was back to his best for the Hoops with a performance reminiscent of those he put in on a regular basis last season, whilst McGregor and Ajer both had solid games. The only omission may be Tom Rogic, who scored a fine goal against Ross County. As for the Gers players, Murphy’s excellent equaliser was well worth his inclusion in the side, but no other player did enough at Fir Park to deserve a place in Sutton’s team of the week for this week.
