Chris Sutton: This is what Rangers need in the summer
By Harvey Byrne
Outspoken pundit Chris Sutton believes Rangers are in need of squad investment and has predicted a “big summer” for the Ibrox giants.
The Glaswegian club were held to a 1-1 draw against Motherwell on Saturday with second placed Aberdeen now a clear 10 points away from them.
Many were hoping the appointment of boss Pedro Caixinha could help them move back into the top two of the Premiership table.
However, Sutton has now stated on his personal Twitter account that fans were getting carried away by an easy fixture schedule and that the club should now take third place ahead of a busy summer.
3 easy games…One win v Hamilton and everyone got carried away.. big summer and investment in squad needed! Pedro needs time! Take 3rd???? https://t.co/I7lrndLl6e

However, of those signings includes the likes of Philippe Senderos, Jordan Rossiter and Niko Kranjcar, who have made little impact, while Joey Barton and Matt Gilks have also already left.
The Gers are very much used to battling within the top two of the Premiership table.
But, third place may still be considered a success for the club by some as they look to regain their place in the Scottish standings after their demotion in 2012.
In other Rangers news, Gers fans have reacted on Twitter to Rob Kiernan’s display against Motherwell.
