Chris Sutton reignites feud with Adrian Durham on Twitter after Celtic swipe
By Danny Wright
Chris Sutton has slammed a Twitter poll from Adrian Durham in which he asked if Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has effectively retired from top-level football.
The Celtic manager signed a new four-year deal at Parkhead on Friday and it didn’t take long for Arsenal fan Durham to take a fresh swipe at Scottish football.
There has been an ongoing feud between the two pundits after the TalkSPORT host dismissed the quality of football north of the English border.
The pair argued live on radio after Sutton berated Arsenal for their embarrassing Champions League exit.
Sutton, who spent six years as a Celtic player, labelled Durham’s Twitter post as “pathetic” on his personal account following the news of Rodgers’ new deal.

Durham was clearly taking a dig that the quality of football in Scotland, by suggesting that it is a lot lower than that in England.
The northern Irish boss rose to prominence at Swansea, where he developed a style of possession-based football which many perceive to be the way the game should be played.
Rodgers then moved to Liverpool and came close to winning the Premier League title until a series of dismal results at the end of the campaign ruined all hopes of doing so.
He is currently unbeaten in domestic competition at Celtic and is likely to complete the treble after already securing the Scottish League Cup and Premiership trophies.
