Chris Wood sends three-word Nottingham Forest message after latest

Chris Wood has sent a message to Nottingham Forest fans after their five-goal thriller against Southampton in the Premier League.

Forest continued their remarkable season by defeating the Saints 3-2 at the City Ground on Sunday (19 January) after goals from Elliot Anderson, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Wood.

The 33-year-old striker scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season, but Southampton gave Forest a scare by scoring twice in the second half to push them.

The victory led to Forest drawing level on points with Arsenal, who only sit above them via goal difference.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are continuing to keep the pressure on league leaders Liverpool, with only six points separating them.

Forest will be back in action on Saturday (25 January) against in-form Bournemouth.

The striker has impressed this season and has been in fine form in front of goal, but he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Forest are pushing towards agreeing a new contract with Woo as Santo is “desperate” for him to commit his future to the club.
