'Clever business' - Sutton has words of advice for Celtic marksman over future
By Will Butcher
Chris Sutton has urged Moussa Dembele to stay at Celtic this summer after starring in his first season with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Dembele, 20, moved to Celtic last summer from English Championship side Fulham, and has gone on to score a huge 32 goals in 49 league and cup encounters for the Hoops.
Former Celtic striker Sutton told BT Sport that he would advise the Frenchman to remain on Parkhead to develop and claimed the wonderkid was only going to get better.
“He was clever business,” Sutton said. “First of all, he had to win the battle with Leigh Griffiths at the start of the season and he scored 40 goals last season.
“So Celtic are very strong in that area but Dembele has been a real leader of the line and he’s only going to get better. It would be wise to stay at Celtic and develop under Brendan Rodgers.”

The Sun claim Premier League giants Chelsea and Bundesliga big hitters Borussia Dortmund are the latest two sides to be interested in signing the prolific ace.
As well as his goals, Celtic’s number 10 also provided nine assists for the Glasgow outfit as Rodgers secured a marvellous treble in his first season north of the border.
Dembele finished as top goalscorer after ousting Leigh Griffiths from the side, despite pulling his hamstring and failing to feature for the Hoops after April 23.
It has seen Dembele earn his first France Under-21 caps, and has now gone on to score four goals in as many games for his country’s youth side.
