Cole Palmer sends heartfelt message to Joao Pedro after he arrives at new destination

Chelsea star Cole Palmer directed a message to new signing Joao Pedro as players head off on holiday after their Club World Cup win.

Chelsea players are still riding high after their Club World Cup triumph over PSG and Palmer is clearly making the most of the celebrations.

Palmer was instrumental in the PSG win, scoring twice and assisting Pedro for the third goal in a dominant 3-0 display against the Champions League holders.

Football Insider revealed Chelsea earned close to £90 million from winning the Club World Cup which is a significant boost as the club looks to navigate UEFA’s financial regulations.

With the season wrapped up, players have now begun their off-season breaks. Palmer has headed to the Caribbean, visiting St Kitts and Nevis, where his grandfather was born and raised, and shared a post from his travels.

Alongside his holiday update, Palmer continued the celebrations from last weekend with a message directed at fellow goalscorer Pedro.

Pedro has made a flying start to life at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals in his first three appearances. He joined Chelsea in a £60 million deal and was registered just in time for the knockout stages of the tournament, where he made an immediate impact.

Pedro turned down an offer from Newcastle to join Enzo Maresca’s side, a situation reminiscent of Liam Delap, who also chose Chelsea over the Magpies.

The Brazilian arrived in west London off the back of an impressive campaign with Brighton, where he was nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Season. He finished the season with 10 goals and seven assists, further underlining his attacking threat.

While Chelsea remain active in the market for attacking reinforcements, their pursuit of Arsenal wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri looks to have ended.

Football Insider revealed that the Nwaneri is now set to sign a new contract at Arsenal, despite entering the final year of his current deal.

Chelsea reignited their interest in Nwaneri following their previous attempts in 2023, but the teenager is now expected to commit his long-term future under Mikel Arteta.
