Collymore delivers verdict on Arsenal after wretched start to campaign
By Aramide Oladipo
Stan Collymore has heaped heavy criticism on Arsenal following their disappointing start to the Premier League campaign and stated that there is “too much complacency” at the club.
The Gunners have made their worst start to a Premier League season since the 2011-12 campaign, picking up two defeats in their opening three matches and conceding eight goals in the process.
Arsenal produced a lacklustre display against top-four rivals Liverpool last Sunday, suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat at Anfield.
Arsene Wenger’s men currently find themselves in 16th position in the league table, six points adrift of table topping Manchester United.
Former player Collymore was asked to assess the Gunners’ current form on his personal Twitter account and typically, he delivered a very damning assessment.

A slow, progressive omnishambles.
Too much complacency throughout the club for way too long. https://t.co/w3wteszcbn

A number of Arsenal supporters voiced their anger and frustration at the players following the final whistle on Merseyside this past weekend.
The Gunners have failed to improve on last season’s performances and they will find it extremely difficult to break back into the top-four places this season.
After the international break, the Gunners host a struggling Bournemouth side before travelling to the Premier League champions Chelsea.
