Murty details Rangers transfer update, says which area of squad he is happy with

Graeme Murty has revealed that Rangers aren’t planning to sign any more defensive players before the transfer window closes.
The Light Blues have added Russell Martin from Norwich whilst Danny Murphy has left to join Colorado in the MLS.
The Gers manager is satisfied with the players he has in his defence at the moment.
“As we stand I am comfortable with the options we have in defence” Murty said, as quoted by Rangers’ official Twitter account.
“Once again everything will be based on a footballing decision and whether we can enhance our squad.”

The Gers are preparing to get their Scottish Cup campaign underway when they take on non-league Fraserburgh on Wednesday night.
The Light Blues go into the game on a good run of form, their most recent match a 2-1 win over Ross County which saw them overtake Aberdeen into second place in the Scottish Premiership.
Football Insider verdict
The Gers manager is correct to be satisfied with his options in defence. Wes Foderingham has been in great form recently, whilst James Tavernier is in perhaps the best form of his career at Ibrox so far whilst Declan John has been a solid acquisition. At the moment David Bates and the aforementioned Russell Martin make up the centre-backs but the numbers are there in reserve for the likes of Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso who can be called upon when needed. There is no need to any more players to what is looking at the moment like a solid unit which has helped the Gers on their recent run of good results.
