Sky Sports pundit: This is what is very difficult for Rodgers to do at Celtic

Sky Sports pundit Kris Commons believes that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will stay at the club for a while yet, and that he will still want to improve the Bhoys’ performances even though the club is on the verge of a second successive domestic treble.

The Hoops haven’t been at their best this season despite being on the brink of anther domestic clean sweep, and former Hoops striker Commons thinks that the boss will improve the Hoops every year despite their run of trophies.

“I think what Brendan wants to do every single year is to try and improve,” Commons said, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“It’s very difficult to improve on last year’s unbeaten treble. Adding another treble would be a unique achievement.”

The Bhoys are in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers, and after having retained the Betfred Cup and all but clinched the league title, they stand only a possible two games away from making history.

Hoops fans will be delighted with Commons’ comments, that the Hoops set out to improve each season. Despite being on the verge of another treble the Bhoys have struggled at times this season, and have dropped far more points than they did last season. The performances in Europe also weren’t up great, as the Hoops crashed out in the last 32 of the Europa League to a Zenit side who weren’t even that good. If the Hoops want to improve as Commons states then they will perhaps have to make better signings, as Scott Bain aside the players brought in in January haven’t made much of an impression at all at Parkhead so far.
