By Dominic Toner

Aston Villa have made three changes to their starting XI against Leeds in the Championship meeting.

Villa host Leeds on Thursday night for a league clash and manager Steve Bruce has decided to make three alterations.

Jack Grealish, Jordan Ayew and Ashley Westwood have been named in the starting XI and replaced Albert Adomah, Gary Gardner and Ross McCormack from the win against Burton.

Aston Villa have announced their starting XI on their official Twitter account.

Villa will move up to seventh in the league table if they earn three points on Thursday night, while their opponents Leeds will go third with a victory.

The two teams have already met in December and Leeds ran out 2-0 winners at Elland Road, with Kemar Roofe and Chris Wood the goalscroers.

Bruce’s side have responded well to that defeat and have won three of their last four games.

Villa beat rivals Burton 2-1 in their most recent game and Ross McCormack scored the winning goal in the 78th minute.

Bruce has enjoyed great success since he was appointed manger mid-season and will still believe his team can reach the play-off places this season.

The club’s supporters are still hopeful that they can achieve promotion back to the Premier League and a win against Leeds would send out a huge message to the rest of the division.
