Aston Villa trio Corey Blackett-Taylor, Callum O’Hare and Keinan Davis were all named in the first team squad in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
Davis even made an 86th minute for Steve Bruce’s side, coming on for Jonathan Kodjia once the scoreline was settled.
However, the young trio have dropped back into the Under-23s for Monday evening’s Premier League Two clash, as confirmed by the official Aston Villa Twitter account ahead of the game.

October appointment Bruce has looked to integrate a number of youngsters into the Aston Villa first team in his first few months at the club.
Each of Blackett-Taylor and Davis have made their senior debuts for the famous Midlands club under Bruce, while O’Hare still waits for his first appearance.
Villa are currently sat in sixth place in the Premier League 2 table with their Monday evening opponents sat two places and two points behind in eighth.
The Villans have a good record of producing young talent through their youth system with the likes of Gareth Barry, Gary Cahill and Daniel Sturrige once featuring and they will be hoping many more names come through in the future.
