Celtic have made four changes to their starting XI to face St. Johnstone at Parkhead on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers has opted to axe Scott Sinclair, 28, from the team that thrashed Rangers last week and he is replaced by teenager Michael Johnstone.

The Bhoys confirmed the team news on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off.

Anthony Ralston comes into the starting line-up in the place of Mikael Lustig, who is being rested.

Scott Brown begins a two-match suspension against the Saints and he is replaced by Nir Bitton in the starting XI while Tom Rogic returns in the place of Callum McGregor.

Celtic have already secured the Scottish Premiership title but can move within a win of the 100-point target if they can get a victory over the Saints.

Rodgers will also be looking to keep alive the Hoops’ hopes of securing an unbeaten domestic campaign as they head into their final four fixtures.

The Scottish champions will go into Saturday’s clash at Celtic Park boosted by their impressive record against St. Johnstone in recent years.

Tommy Wright’s side have lost in eight of their last ten visits to the green and white half of Glasgow while the Hoops have won six of the last seven encounters between the two sides.

St. Johnstone can keep alive their hopes of securing a Europa League spot with an unlikely victory, but Celtic have not lost a home league game since December 2015.

In other Celtic news, a BBC pundit has pinpointed what the big question Rodgers will be asking himself ahead of the clash.
