Confirmed Arsenal line-up: Wenger makes four changes

By Amir Mir

Arsenal have made four changes to the side that beat Ludogorets 6-0 in the Champions League in midweek.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech, left-back Nacho Monreal, midfielder Mohamed Elneny and winger Alex Iwobi all come into the side to take on Middlesbrough at the Emirates.

The injured Santi Cazorla, David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain all miss out on a place in the starting line-up.

The Gunners are in red-hot form in the league this season, winning their last six encounters and could go top, if results go their way.

Arsene Wenger’s side are currently in second place, level on points with Manchester City, who have 19 points and host Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Attacking trio Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, have been pivotal to that form, as they will be hoping to push the club to top spot.

They take on a Middlesbrough side that are hovering above the relegation zone, with no league win since August, as they now face a tough trip to the Emirates.

Nonetheless, Arsenal will be looking to pick up another three points on Saturday, in what is Wenger’s 67th Birthday.

In other Arsenal team news, supporters on Twitter backed on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere to perform against Tottenham.
