Done deal: Left-sided flyer signs for Liverpool

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Fortaleza CEIF left-back Anderson Arroyo on Tuesday, despite a deal being finalised in January, according to the club’s official sources.
The Reds announced the news on their Twitter feed and website of their capture of the 17-year-old Colombian, who has now been loaned out on an 18-month deal to Segunda B side Real Mallorca where he will continue his development.

The Reds have been courting the left-sided defender for some time now before making him officially a Liverpool player.
It is thought the reasoning behind the loan transfer to Spain is so that the youngster can earn his work permit, without which he cannot play in the Premier League.
But according to World Football Index,  by plying his trade on the continent, he will become eligible for a European visa to play in the English top-flight.
Football Insider verdict:
It seems to be the common thing to do these days – you sign a youngster and then immediately loan them out in order to gain first team football and experience. In Spain, Arroyo will undoubtedly getting some of the best technical training in the world of football and with Mallorca – who are leading the division – he will be able to flourish in a side that will likely be brimming with confidence considering their potential promotion.
