Senior West Ham trio Ashley Fletcher, Edimilson Fernandes and Arthur Masuaku were demoted to the Under-23s on Tuesday evening for a clash against Stoke.
Both Masuaku and Fernandes were part of the Hammers’ 18-man match squad which lost 2-1 against Chelsea on Monday evening and the latter even made a 13-minute substitute appearance.
Meanwhile, summer signing Fletcher, 21, has not featured for the east London club in the league since a cameo in the 4-0 defeat against Manchester City in February.
West Ham confirmed the trio would all be starting in their youth side via their official Twitter account for the Premier League 2 clash on Tuesday.

Both Fernandes and Masuaku will be looking to impress in the young side as they aim to stake a claim for a place in Slaven Bilic’s first team.
Meanwhile, it is felt that Fletcher still needs some time in the youth system before he can be handed further appearances in the Premier League.
The Hammers Under-23s are currently sat in fifth place in the Premier League Two, while Stoke place at the bottom with just 11 points from their 15 fixtures.
West Ham have a good history of bringing players through their academy and while eyes will be on the senior trio, many will also be looking out for any emerging stars.
