Conor Bradley sends message to Liverpool fans as Trent debate intensifies
Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley took to social media to send a message to the fans after their 4-0 League Cup semi-final win over Tottenham on Thursday (February 6).
The 21-year-old had a starring role as Liverpool secured their place in the final, providing the assist for Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal which made it 3-0.
Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the 34th minute before talismanic forward Mohamed Salah doubled their lead from the penalty spot in the 51st, leaving Spurs fans furious with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky for giving the spot-kick away.
Szoboszlai capped off his fine performance with a goal after Bradley sent him through one-on-one with Kinsky before Virgil van Dijk rounded off the scoring in the 80th minute.
Conor Bradley has been earmarked as permanent Trent Alexander-Arnold replacement at Liverpool
The right-back has had few opportunities with Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of him, starting eight of his 19 games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing two assists in his 891 minutes of action.
Alexander-Arnold missed the game against Tottenham through injury but could be set to make his return for Liverpool’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Plymouth on Sunday (February 8).
The debate over whether Bradley could be the long-term replacement for Alexander-Arnold, should he leave, is intensifying over supporters after his latest fine display.

Bradley took to Instagram after the win over Tottenham to celebrate reaching the final for the second consecutive season, saying: “Back to Wembley again! Always special under the lights at Anfield.”

Sitting at the top of the Premier League table, Football Insider revealed Liverpool have every intention of building upon their good season and are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
Tottenham launched a late-window, £70million bid for the Palace skipper as a potential solution to their defensive injury crisis – but saw the offer rejected.
