Newcastle United are reportedly lining up a bid to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on loan – and the club’s supporters on Twitter have gone wild about the idea.

The Daily Mail claims that it’s unclear whether Man United boss Jose Mourinho will give the 20-year-old the necessary game time next season, which has led to a Premier League trio waiting in the wings for him.

It is understood that Newcastle, Everton and Leicester would all be interested in taking the speed machine on a temporary basis next season if he did become available.

Rashford is currently away on international duty with England and will hope to play an important role in their World Cup tournament.

He warmed up for Russia by scoring a screamer in a 2-0 win against Costa Rica on Thursday night at Elland Road and is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in world football.

The versatile attacher did make 52 appearances for Man United in the 2017/18 season and scored 13 goals in return, but has been continuously in and out of the starting XI as a result of fierce competition at Old Trafford.

Newcastle fans on social media have confessed they would love to see Rashford arrive at St James’ Park next year, despite admitting the likelihood of it happening is very slim.
