Curtis Jones and Erling Haaland send messages as season-ending injury update shared
Everton forward Jack Grealish has confirmed that his season is over after he underwent surgery on a fracture in his foot.
Grealish is on loan at Everton from Man City, and had been enjoying a superb season at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The winger had scored twice and provided six assists in just 20 appearances, and looked to finally be rediscovering the form that initially earned him his record-breaking move to the Etihad Stadium.
Grealish will hope to complete a permanent move to Everton this summer, although the situation has been muddied by the injury.
Man City will likely need to drop their demands for Grealish if a move is to happen, with the Toffees unlikely to trigger the £50million option to buy included in the loan deal.

Premier League stars send messages to Jack Grealish
Grealish had been the subject of interest from several Premier League sides in the summer, but he eventually opted for Everton.
The opportunity to work under David Moyes appealed to the winger, and Hill Dickinson Stadium was seen as the perfect place to get his career back on track.
The 30-year-old’s ultimate goal, undoubtedly, was to attract the attention of Thomas Tuchel ahead of this year’s World Cup – a dream that now unfortunately looks to be dead.

But still, Grealish was a revelation at Everton in the opening weeks of the season, providing four assists in just his first two Premier League starts.
The former Aston Villa star’s impact faded slightly after that, but he has remained a constant threat for Moyes and will be sorely missed.
“Didn’t want the season to end like this but that’s football, gutted,” Grealish wrote to Instagram on Monday, sharing a picture post-surgery.
“Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.
“The support I’ve had since coming to this unbelievable club has meant the world to me. The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible and I absolutely love representing this club.
“I’ll be backing the lads all the way and doing everything I can to get back as soon as possible. Thank you again for all the love, it means so much. UTFT”.
Curtis Jones and Erling Haaland were among the stars to comment, with both players sharing love heart emojis.
More stars respond to Grealish
Oleksandr Zinchenko was also among those to send words of support to Grealish, with the pair knowing each other from their time at Man City.
The likes of Declan Rice and Mason Mount appeared as well, having played with the winger for England.

Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie also sent a message, although it is unclear how the pair know each other outside of having been opponents.
The footballing world was overjoyed to see Grealish loving his football again, and it is hoped that the forward can return to his best after injury.
