Curtis Jones, James Maddison respond to message from Tottenham star Dom Solanke

Liverpool ace Curtis Jones and Tottenham star James Maddison responded to a message from Dominic Solanke.

After swapping the South Coast for North London in the summer of 2024, Solanke endured a difficult season with Tottenham.

When on the pitch, the 27-year-old showed glimpses of his ability, scoring 16 times in all competitions as Spurs secured their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League against Man United.

But Solanke endured several niggling injuries, hampering his ability consistently feature for his side.

The English striker appeared just 27 times in the Premier League and scored just nine times in comparison to the 19 goals he scored the season before with Bournemouth.

However, with Tottenham having sacked Ange Postecoglou and appointed Thomas Frank, Solanke will be hoping to show why Spurs shelled out £65million [BBC Sport] next season under his new boss.

After a testing season, but one that saw him get his hands on European silverware, Solanke shared a plethora of photos on Instagram enjoying a holiday abroad.

The 27-year-old captioned the post “Pt.2” to which Maddison jokingly commented: “Nice dump dom”, whilst Jones responded by saying: “Very nice”.

Football Insider Verdict

Frank has proven himself to be an incredibly accomplished manager during his time in the Premier League.

The Danish manager guided Brentford from being a middle-of-the-pack Championship club to being a competitor for European places.

But if there is one thing that Frank is truly excellent at, it is getting the best out of attacking players.

Mikkel Damsgaard’s transformation last season was a sight to behold, but almost more impressive was the fact that Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa registered 39 Premier League goals between them.

Prior to that duo came Ivan Toney, who went from being discarded by Newcastle to a regular feature in England’s squad, Ollie Watkins, another England regular, and Neal Maupay, who has forged an impressive career.

If Solanke can stay healthy, history tells us that Frank is the manager to get the best out of the 27-year-old.
