Danny Mills has backed Philippe Coutinho to revive his career at Aston Villa.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England full-back insisted the pull of Steven Gerrard has allowed Aston Villa to complete a deal for Coutinho.
The Midlands giants confirmed on Friday (7 January) the Brazilian attacker had signed on loan from Barcelona until the end of the season.

“This is where the so-called big-name or stellar name manager can attract players.

“He’s thought ‘Where do I want to play? Who do I want to play for? Who do I want to work for?’ He knows Steven Gerrard, he likes him.
“Coutinho at Villa, what a signing that is.”
Coutinho has scored twice in 16 appearances for Barcelona this term.
He has scored 41 times and provided 37 assists in 152 Premier League games for Liverpool.
