Danny Mills has been blown away by the improvement of Jack Harrison at Leeds United this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-United and England defender claimed the on-loan Manchester City winger has “gone to another level” in this campaign.
Harrison was named in the Leeds starting XI for the 22nd consecutive Championship match in 2019-20 against Cardiff City today.
Harrison produced another fine display as Leeds roared into a 3-0 lead at Elland Road, before being pegged by a sensational Cardiff comeback in a match that ended 3-3.
Asked by Football Insider to name the most improved player at Liverpool this season, Mills replied: “Jack Harrison has gone to another level, Kalvin Phillips has moved up, Ben White whether that is Bielsa’s doing or whether he is just a very very good player.
“I think the side has improved as a whole as much as anything. And that’s what it is with Bielsa, it’s very much about the team.
“He doesn’t work on individuals as such, but if you improve all the individuals then the team improves and that’s what he has done; he has improved everybody slightly, he works on those, and the team gets better.
“So I don’t think there is anybody who has improved dramatically from last season, but they were very, very good then.”
Harrison has been more productive in his second loan campaign at Elland Road compared to his first, when his 42 matches in all competitions yielded four goals and four assists.
The left winger, 23, has already surpassed those numbers in terms of direct goal contributions, scoring four goals and providing five assists from his 22 league games so far.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that there has been a huge Jack Clarke transfer development.
