Danny Mills issues warning to Leeds after confirmed transfer news in last 24 hours
Danny Mills has warned Leeds they are “up against it” as their winless start to the season continued with a stalemate against Newcastle last night.
The former Whites defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the Elland Road side would already be “looking over their shoulder”.
Leeds squandered a 1-0 lead against the Magpies last night and were forced to settle for a draw – taking their tally to three points from five games.
As quoted by Leeds Live post-match, manager Marcelo Bielsa admitted the situation with the club’s squad depth was “difficult to resolve” ahead of the January window.
The Whites had fresh absentees for the Newcastle clash.
Pascal Struijk (suspension), Jack Harrison (COVID-19) and Diego Llorente (injury) were all sidelined.

Mills claimed that Leeds will be beginning to worry about their poor form at the start of this season.
“They’ll be looking at the next game now, thinking that they are up against it,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“They need something from the next game.
“To go this many games without a win, you can start to look at the wrong end of the table and be stuck looking over your shoulder a bit too much.
“They have to start picking up some points.
“I believe they will be alright.
“But the sooner they can get the ball rolling and getting into that rhythm of winning games, the better.”
The Yorkshire side sit 16th having played one more game than most of their immediate rivals.
Leeds finished a lofty ninth in the Premier League last season in their first season back in the top flight.
