Danny Mills tips up to seven Everton summer deals after £200m update
Danny Mills has claimed Everton could sign up to four top-quality stars this summer after a £200million injection but they will offload at least three players.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England defender, who is well connected at the Merseyside giants as his son Stanley is a member of the academy, insisted a new defender will be top of Carlo Ancelotti’s wishlist.
Football Insider reported last weekend owner Farhad Moshiri had pumped in £200million into the club as his investment vehicle Blue Heaven Holdings increased their stake to 92.2 per cent.
This site understands Ancelotti has set his sights on luring a “world-class” centre-back to Goodison Park.
The Italian is not fully convinced by the partnerships of any of his existing options as is demonstrated by his chopping between a back three and back four.
Asked whether he thought the Toffees were set for a busy window at the end of the season, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think there will be too many signings.

“Last summer they brought in Allan and [Abdoulaye] Doucoure who have been very, very good. James Rodriguez too.
“They might bring in a couple. But they’ve tied Lucas Digne down, they’ve got younger players coming through.
“Maybe a right-back. Looking at Seamus Coleman, can [Mason] Holgate and [Ben] Godfrey be cover?
“Perhaps another striker too to push [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin possibly.
“They’ll be some signings but I can imagine they’ll be two or three out and three or four in. The ones that come in will be of better quality.
“But there won’t be wholesale changes.”
