Danny Murphy: This Tottenham ace will struggle v Liverpool because of this Klopp favourite

Danny Murphy has predicted a tough game for Tottenham on Sunday as they prepare to take on top-four rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
He thinks that if Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t get his tactics right, that Tottenham could get turned over.
He also predicted a difficult afternoon for Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane as he comes up against new Liverpool signing Virgil van Dijk.
Talking in his column in the Evening Standard, Murphy said: “Harry Kane was able to dominate United’s Phil Jones and Chris Smalling and he will hope to do the same against Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.
“Yet, I watched Van Dijk against powerful centre-forwards during his time at Southampton, and he is much cleverer than Jones or Smalling, knowing when to challenge the striker.
“Matip is a smart operator, too, so Kane will have his work cut out — just like his team.”
Virgil Van Dijk was finally signed by Klopp this January in an eye-watering £70million after the club had tried unsuccessfully to land him in the summer.
Murohy says that Pochettino should urge caution and advise his team to sit deep, or risk getting cut apart from Liverpool’s attack – especially Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
He went on to say that if he had to pick one team to end up in the top four it would be Liverpool.
“If I had to pick one of them to make the top four, though, I would take Liverpool, and I expect them to turn Tottenham over.”
