Danny Rohl has already revived one player who Russell Martin completely let down at Ibrox

Danny Rohl has been a breath of fresh air at Ibrox, but there are several problem areas for the new Rangers boss to address still.

Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 ahead of the international break to move up to fourth in the Scottish Premiership table, though they remain 12 points behind first-place Hearts after 11 games.

Back-to-back defeats to Celtic and AS Roma, unsurprisingly, added even more toxicity to the atmosphere, but with a new manager just through the doors, all fingers are now pointing towards the hierarchy.

Despite being new to the situation, Rohl is not immune to pressure as Rangers boss, and the former Sheffield Wednesday figure needs to get his team firing on all cylinders as quickly as possible.

Thankfully, he has done exactly that with some of the players that Russell Martin failed during his very short tenure in Glasgow, and fans have certainly noticed.

Nico Raskin and Martin clearly fell out, with the Belgian international being left out of several squads. But the midfielder already looks back to his best despite the ongoing struggles at Ibrox.

He is not the only one to suffer under the previous manager.

Mikey Moore was supposed to make an instant impact after arriving from Tottenham on loan. He recorded an assist in his first appearance, but there was nothing else for the following 10 games.

Mikey Moore has made a major U-turn at Ibrox, no thanks to Russell Martin

While he has just one goal under Rohl’s reign, which came in the most recent game against Dundee, he has shown more creativity in the final third, no longer appearing likely to return to North London.

Rangers fans are impressed with Moore’s revival under the new manager, and if he continues to show more in the final third, he could be a very important player for the Light Blues until the end of the season.

Of course, he has Djeidi Gassama to battle against for the left-wing spot, but thanks to his versatility, the 18-year-old loanee could find himself on the opposite flank, where he is also likely to thrive.

Rohl needs to be given a lot of praise for how he has handled his introduction at Ibrox, and even more for how quickly he’s turned players’ forms around amid very little experience with the squad.
