Darren Anderton delivers Tottenham verdict after win, looks ahead to Arsenal clash
By Will Butcher
Darren Anderton has described Tottenham’s narrow win over Crystal Palace as a “great result” before instantly looking ahead to Sunday’s clash against Arsenal.
Spurs edged past Sam Allardyce’s Eagles with a 1-0 win thanks to Christian Eriksen’s late, long-range strike that saw his effort fly past Wayne Hennessey in the 78th minute.
Ex-Spurs midfielder Anderton heaped praise on the north London giants for their second half performance, stating the win “sets it up nicely for Sunday” on his personal Twitter account.

Spurs looked like they were set to be held by Crystal Palace, as Allardyce set his side up to frustrate Mauricio Pochettino’s title-chasing Spurs.
But Eriksen popped up in the middle of the park, touching the ball out of his feet before sweeping home an inch-perfect effort which takes his tally to 12 goals for the rest of the season.

The win sees Spurs close the gap at the top of the table to four points, after Antonio Conte’s Chelsea had reopened a seven-point lead with a 4-2 win against Southampton on Tuesday.
All eyes now turn to Sunday, as Spurs go up against north London rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino will also be hoping title rivals Chelsea slip up against Everton at Goodison Park, as the Blues travel to Merseyside in an attempt to keep their lead at the top of the Premier League.
