David Ginola was adamant Liverpool would be successful this season due to their goal threat, but highlighted three things in particular they need for more success.
The retired footballer shared his opinion on talkSPORT with Alan Brazil (Wednesday 9:26) stating that “stability”, “balance” and new signings are the keys behind achieving success for the Reds before elaborating on each point.
The 50-year-old firstly stated “stability” as the most important factor, referring to keeping Jurgan Klopp in charge, as he believes “stability for any club is the ransom of success, this is where you’re aiming for success.”
The former French international added the second thing comes within the stability and that would be “finding the right balance” to the team.
Ginola alluded to Tuesday night’s game with Sevilla where Liverpool were 3-0 up at halftime but ended with a 3-3 draw due to defensive woes, when talking about team balance.
The pundit then directly stated that Liverpool must sign “one or two players ” in the next transfer window, and then work hard with the team on a daily basis; as it’s only “little bits and pieces” needed to make the Reds successful.
Before moving on, Ginola praised Liverpool’s ability to score goals as something that would achieve some success, stating that “when I say successful, they will be successful as up front they can score goals.”
After failing to defeat Sevilla, the Reds now need to earn a point against Spartak Moscow in order to qualify for the Champions League knockout stage.
The Reds now turn their attention to the Premier League as they face Chelsea on Saturday.
In other Liverpool news, fans took to social media to slam Jordan Henderson’s against Sevilla.
