David Ginola urges Tottenham to sign Champions League winning attacker
By Danny Wright
David Ginola has urged Tottenham to re-sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid in order for them to become one of the best teams in Europe.
Bale, 28, left Spurs in 2013 and is arguably one of the most gifted players to have ever graced the White Hart Lane pitch in the Tottenham kit in Premier League history.
At Real Madrid, the Wales international attacker has won three Champions League titles but is constantly finding himself being linked with a move back to England with the Bernabeu faithful regularly being critical of him for his performances.
Now, Ginola has suggested that Spurs can become a powerhouse of European football if they bring the former Southampton star back to North London, as well as keeping hold of their current high performers.
“Why not bring Bale back to Tottenham?” said Ginola on TalkSport, as shown on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast’s official Twitter account on Wednesday morning.

Bale has been in good form this term, scoring three goals and supplying four assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
However he has not featured in the last two La Liga fixtures through injury and being dropped to the bench after the shock 1-0 loss to Real Betis.
The Welsh wing wizard made a total of 203 appearances for Tottenham during his time in North London, scoring 56 goals in the process.
In other Tottenham news, Arsenal icon Ian Wright has slammed this Spurs player and dubbed him as a “liability”.
