Moyes delivers huge update on future of West Ham striker

West Ham boss David Moyes has quashed reports that Chelsea have made a move for Andy Carroll, amid speculation of a £30m bid on the horizon.
Speaking in the post match press conference last night, as quoted by Football London, Moyes claimed that he has received no contact over the 6’4 giant.
“They’ve not made contact with me so if they’ve made contact with someone else, then I don’t know about it,
“I think there’s been a lot of rumours regarding a loan but as far as I know, it’s never officially come from Chelsea,” Moyes stated.
Carroll has widely been regarded as a transfer target for Antonio Conte, as he looks to add depth behind the incosistent Alvaro Morata.
Yet it does not seem that the former England international will be moving anyweher right now, as Moyes does not want to lose key members of his injury depleted squad.
“At the moment Andy Carroll’s one of my squad, I want to add to the squad, not lose players from my squad.”
Carroll is one of the names currently on Moyes injury list, as he continues to battle with an Ankle issue – and he did not see any action last night.
This could be having a direct influence on the potential transfer of Carroll, as Conte would not want to pick up an injured player.
In other West Ham news, the Hammer are now odds on favourites to land this Premier League pass master.
