Collymore lays into Aston Villa hierarchy after wretched start to campaign
By Derek Smithson
Stan Collymore was highly critical of Aston Villa after their draw against Brentford and suggested that the club have a big decision to make over the future of manager Steve Bruce.
The Midlands giants continued their disappointing start to the campaign with a 0-0 result at home to Brentford in the Championship.
They now have just six points from their opening six league matches and are 18th-placed in the table.
Villa were hopeful of launching a promotion bid this season, but will have to improve drastically on their mediocre start.
Collymore ripped into his former side after their goalless draw against Brentford and believes the team are showing no real threat.

“Getting to time of the season where cohesion, a plan and consistency start to kick in. Villans aren’t seeing any. Decisions decisions,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Collymore ran a Twitter poll shortly after on how many more games Bruce should be given in charge as his position at Villa Park continues to come under scrutiny.
Villa strengthened considerably in the summer and John Terry was the most high-profile of the new signings, but they are yet to really make a serious impact in the side.
They laboured to a 13th-placed finish in the Championship last season and were expected to be fighting higher up the table this year.
However, fans are already calling for a change of manager after a disappointing start and their fixtures don’t get any easier as they welcome Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
