Declan Rice and David Raya respond to Bukayo Saka’s Arsenal comeback message

Bukayo Saka has been sidelined for three months with a hamstring injury at Arsenal, but his return could be closer than expected.

The winger has not featured since picking up an injury in Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace back in December.

Saka required surgery due to the hamstring injury, ruling him out for an extended period, forcing the Gunners to rely on 18-year-old Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal fans were left outraged at the board due to the shortage of attacking options. They’ve felt the effects of that in the league, as they are sitting 12 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race

However, Saka provided a boost as the Gunners prepare to return from the international break, with his comeback edging closer.

Declan Rice is ‘ready’ for Bukayo Saka’s Arsenal return

Saka announced his return to Arsenal with a simple message: “Hello again” marking the end of his three-month injury layoff.

His post quickly drew responses from teammates, with Declan Rice replying, “We ready, while David Raya jokingly commented, “Stop wasting my time.”

Before his injury, the 23-year-old was enjoying another outstanding season, contributing 22 goals and assists in just 24 games.

Despite being sidelined, Saka has remained actively involved in supporting his Arsenal teammates, but now, his long-awaited return to the pitch is finally within reach.

Arsenal eye Bryan Mbeumo to strengthen attack and ease reliance on Saka

With Sterling failing to impress since his arrival, Nwaneri has had to step up in Saka’s absence.

While Nwaneri has performed well, it’s clear Arsenal are looking for additional attacking options to avoid another situation where they lack quality on the wings.

Football Insider revealed that Arsenal are in the race to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, though they will face stiff competition from Newcastle.

Mbeumo will enter the final year of his contract this summer, making him an affordable yet valuable addition to Arteta’s squad. His versatility across the front line would provide much-needed depth, ensuring Arsenal don’t face the same attacking struggles in the future.
