Declan Rice and Harry Maguire react as Harry Kane posts shock partying message
Harry Kane and Eric Dier secured the first silverware of their careers as the former Tottenham duo helped Bayern Munich wrap up the Bundesliga title.
Bayern bounced back from last season’s third-placed finish behind Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart to secure their 33rd Bundesliga title with two games to spare, after a 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Dier netted Bayern’s first goal of the match as they came back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 in the final minutes, with fellow ex-Premier League stars Michael Olise and Leroy Sane also on the scoresheet.
It was a second straight league match in which Kane has failed to find the net, but the England captain’s 24 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances – and a further 12 in all competitons – have been absolutely vital.

Harry Kane sends message amid Bundesliga celebrations
Kane‘s £100million transfer from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to the Allianz Arena in 2023 has only seen his output in front of goal increase, with 80 goals across a just 89 appearances for Bayern so far.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer, but Man City’s former financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Kane would cost any club well over £100m.
Player | Appearances | Starts | Goals | Assists | Yellow/Red Cards | Games Missed |
Harry Kane | 44 | 41 | 36 | 12 | 6 | 5 |
After he collected the first team-wide trophy of his career, however, Kane and fellow ex-Spurs star Dier posted on Instagram (4 May) with a video, singing along to long-time England chant ‘Sweet Caroline’.
Kane let his usual polished guard slip to party in uncharacteristic style alongside his English friend and Bayern teammates.
In the post, which was liked by England team-mates Declan Rice and Harry Maguire, Kane’s four-word message is captioned: “Celebrating together. Champions together.”
Harry Kane ‘surely going nowhere’ after Bayern Munich success
Kane’s maiden year in Munich coincided with the first of 12 seasons in which the German giants didn’t win the Bundesliga, but with Bayern back on top, their number nine will be hungry for further success.
A number of Premier League clubs have considered bids to bring Kane back to English shores, with Newcastle and Arsenal just two of those urged to pursue a deal and get guaranteed goals as a result.
Manchester United could also make steps to convert their long-term admiration for Kane into reality, but with potentially the first of several titles now sewn up, it remains to be seen if the England captain will be in the mood to leave Bayern anytime soon.
