Declan Rice and Kieran Trippier react to Harry Kane’s Bayern announcement

Harry Kane clinched his first ever piece of silverware as Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga, and the club have commemorated the occasion.

Despite relinquishing their crown to Bayer Leverkusen for a year, Bayern are now back on top in Germany.

Vincent Kompany’s side claimed the title with two games to spare, after Leverkusen could only draw with Freiburg.

Kane celebrated the success with Eric Dier, as the former Tottenham duo became the latest players to pick up a trophy after departing North London.

There is one game left to go in the German league, but the forward already has 25 goals this season, as well as racking up eight assists.

Kane celebrates Bayern success

Kane’s form for Bayern has attracted Premier League interest, but the 31-year-old may opt to stay in Germany after picking up his first-ever major honour.

The Englishman was given the privilege of putting the Bundesliga trophy on display in the Bayern Munich museum, as the club continues to celebrate their 34th top-flight crown.

Taking to Instagram (14 May), the striker shared photos of him holding the Meisterschale, as well as placing it in its new home, with the caption: “A pleasure being at the museum today to put the trophies on display!”

Three Lions team-mates Kieran Trippier and Declan Rice were quick to show support for their national team captain, with both players liking the post.

Kane can win more at Bayern

Football Insider Verdict

It is almost a given that Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga every year, so it was a huge shock when in Kane’s first season at the club, Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen went unbeaten to pick up their first-ever league title.

Of course, it led some people to highlight the trophy hoodoo the former Spurs captain was going through, and he will be glad to finally get that weight off his shoulders.

Kane has 25 goals in 30 Bundesliga games this season

The striker will now hope that he can kick on and win a few more Bundesliga medals, and potentially compete for the Champions League as well.

However, Man City may beat Bayern to the signing of Florian Wirtz, which will slightly dampen the mood in Munich.

Wirtz is a phenomenal talent, and there is no doubt that if he were to make the move to the German champions then he would strike up a ruthless partnership with Kane.
