Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard react excitedly as Arsenal agree another signing

Arsenal stars were quick to react after the club confirmed yet another fresh arrival during an already busy summer at the Emirates.

The Gunners have been active in the window as Mikel Arteta looks to build a squad capable of going one better next season after finishing second for the third consecutive season.

Arsenal have already brought in Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard, all of whom have joined the group for pre-season training.

But the club’s business isn’t done yet. Football Insider has revealed that Arsenal are edging closer for a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, with negotiations ongoing over potential add-ons included.

Attack was a key area of concern last season, especially when both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were sidelined with hamstring injuries and exposing a lack of reliable depth in the forward line.

Now, with their latest addition confirmed, it’s clear Arsenal are determined not to be caught short again as they strengthen for another title push.

Arsenal stars react as Noni Madueke signs from Chelsea

It was confirmed on 18 July that Noni Madueke has officially joined Arsenal from Chelsea in a deal worth £52 million.

The winger marked the announcement with a heartfelt message on Instagram, writing: “Humbled and blessed to be here. Thank you to everyone that made this possible. I can’t wait to get on the pitch and start to repay the faith shown in me. It’s gonna be so special… God is the greatest. Let’s go.”

His new teammates were quick to welcome him as Declan Rice commented “Buzzing you’re here!! Let’s go bro” while club captain Martin Odegaard responded with heart emojis.

Other familiar names also showed their support by liking the post, including William Saliba, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, and Eberechi Eze—who has himself been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Madueke arrives off the back of a promising campaign at Chelsea, registering 11 goals and five assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.

Despite that, Football Insider revealed that Enzo Maresca was open to parting ways with Madueke due to concerns over his attitude in the dressing room.

Arsenal face Liverpool competition in race for Rodrygo

While Madueke is expected to slot in on the right flank, the Gunners remain in the market for reinforcements on the left, and have most notably been linked with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.

However, they face stiff competition for his signing as Liverpool are also in the race for Rodrygo and have already reportedly held talks.

Missing out to a direct title rival would be a major setback, though Arsenal’s pursuit could hinge on the futures of both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, which may allow Arne Slot’s side to pounce on a deal before Arteta’s side.
