Declan Rice reacts to Fabrizio Romano’s significant Arsenal transfer announcement

Fabrizio Romano has revealed news in Arsenal’s transfer window which has gained the approval of Gunners star Declan Rice.

Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his squad ahead of the new season which will begin in August with a trip to rivals Manchester United.

The Gunners have come second in the past three Premier League seasons and Arteta does not want to suffer the same fate for a fourth time.

Arsenal have already signed midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, and goalkeeper Kepa from Chelsea.

The Gunners have also been agreeing deals for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres and Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have Madueke signed on a five year deal at the Emirates, which was liked by Rice.

Romano reports “Chelsea will receive £48million plus £4m add-ons after medical done.”

The funds provide more of a boost to Chelsea’s transfer kitty after they secured over £80m for winning the Club World Cup.

Madueke was part of the squad before flying back to England before the final to agree a deal with Arsenal.

The Blues stunned PSG 3-0 in the final thanks to a Cole Palmer brace and a Joao Pedro goal.

Future uncertain for Martinelli amid Madueke arrival

Arteta has finalised another move for one of his targets as he adds further depth to his forward line.

The Gunners struggled with injuries to key players last season, especially in the forward department when Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were all on the sidelines.

Madueke has played on the left wing for Chelsea, but he could provide competition for Saka on the opposite flank.

The 23-year-old was a regular for the Blues last season as they finished fourth in the Premier League and won the Europa Conference League, but Enzo Maresca has been in the market to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.

The England international though will still face intense competition for places at Arsenal, however it remains to be seen whether his arrival means Gabriel Martinelli will leave.

Martinelli has been the subject of interest from Saudi Arabia and is seen as an option for Bayern Munich.

Leandro Trossard could also leave the club, paving the way for Madueke to become first choice in his preferred position.
