Declan Rice sends two-word message to Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has taken to social media to praise teammate Bukayo Saka after his performance in their 5-1 Champions League win over Sporting CP on Tuesday (November 26).

Saka, 23, was awarded the Man of the Match award after bagging a goal and an assist against the side that beat Pep Guardiola’s Man City 4-1 in their previous European fixture.

Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel, and Leandro Trossard scored the other four goals, sending Mikel Arteta’s side up to seventh in the new Champions League group phase.

Arsenal have seemingly navigated through a rough patch of form, securing back-to-back wins, having failed to win four of their previous five games across all competitions.

The winger has been outstanding for Arsenal so far this season, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.

His performance against Sporting further underlined his importance to the squad, with Rice, 25, taking to Instagram to congratulate his teammate.

Arsenal have found themselves back in the race for the Premier League title thanks to Man City’s dismal run of form.

If the North London side beat West Ham on Saturday (November 30) and Pep Guardiola’s team lose to Liverpool on Sunday (December 1), Arsenal will move ahead of them.
