Jermain Defoe believes that Tottenham forward Harry Kane is at the perfect club and praised his goalscoring qualities.
The 23-year-old has become an extremely popular at Spurs recently and established himself as one of the Premier League’s most prolific goalscorers.
The England international has scored 20-plus league goals in the last three seasons and is the talisman for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The north London club have been keen to have a strong English core at the heart of their starting line-up and Kane is an ever-present in the side.

“It’s not easy to score goals in the Premier League,” Defoe said, as quoted by the club’s official website. “The league is so strong, home and away, so to score 20s on the trot… I just think he’s in the perfect team, no team is going to create more chances and dominate games like Spurs.
“If there is one team to be at right now, it’s Spurs and with ‘H’, I said ages ago he was a finisher.”
Kane is now being tipped to challenge Alan Shearer’s all-time tally of 260 Premier League goals and could do so if he avoids any serious injuries.
The forward was in sensational form throughout the last campaign, scoring 35 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Pochettino’s side finished second in the league and there is a real belief at the club that they can win silverware with what is a strong outfit.
In other Tottenham news, the club’s supporters reacted to Moussa Sissoko scoring for France.
